Deanna Kaplan, PhD
Dr. Kaplan is a clinical psychologist known for her expertise in research methodology. Notably, Dr. Kaplan was first author on two papers examining electronically activated recorded research (read them here Kaplan, et. al., 2020; Kaplan et. al., 2023). Building on this expertise, Dr. Kaplan, in collaboration with the Georgia CTSA AppHatchery, led the development of the Fabla app, a novel research method used to collect voice diaries from participants as they go about their daily lives. She currently holds a faculty appointment at the Emory School of Medicine in the department of Family and Preventive Medicine, is Director of Health Technologies for Emory Spiritual Health, and is core faculty in the Emory Center for Psychedelics and Spirituality.
